Snow kiting

Want to try surfing without getting wet? We wait for the lakes to freeze over, then skim over the snow and ice, riding on skis or a snowboard while being pulled by a kite.

Lakawa School of Kiteboarding offers a three-hour lesson that includes a kite, boots, skis or snowboard for $300. Lessons will take place on a metro area lake like Medicine Lake in Plymouth or Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.
