First Avenue

Since opening night with Joe Cocker in 1970, First Avenue has been presenting newcomers, stars and future legends, including U2, Nirvana and, yes, Prince, who made the club famous after filming “Purple Rain” there. Check the silver stars painted on the exterior to see who’s played at First Ave. The 1,500-capacity club will offer some daytime tours and nighttime gigs.
